How we source passport renewal fees

Each provider's data on this site is taken from that provider's own published source. This page describes the source per provider, the refresh discipline, and what we do not publish.

Sources, by provider

  • UK — gov.uk UK passport renewal fees are taken from the official Home Office page at gov.uk/renew-adult-passport and gov.uk/get-a-child-passport. Online vs paper differential, adult vs child, fast-track and premium options are all published there.
  • US — travel.state.gov US passport renewal fees are taken from the State Department schedule at travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/how-apply/fees.html. Adult vs minor, book vs card, routine vs expedited, file-search and overnight delivery are all published there.

What we deliberately do not publish

  • Expediter price-match guidance. Passport expediters charge significant premiums above official fees. We describe the existence of expediter services factually but do not publish per-expediter rate guidance or recommend any.
  • Personal travel data. If a calculator is present on the site, it runs entirely in your browser. Your inputs are not transmitted, logged, or stored.

Update cadence

Site values update only when the underlying reality changes. Triggers:

  • UK Home Office or US State Department publishes a fee change
  • New issuing-authority option (e.g. additional UK fast-track or US emergency processing route)

Cosmetic date bumps are not made.

Editorial position

This site is operated by Digital Signet, an independent AI-development studio. Digital Signet does not sell passport-expediter services, does not run a passport-photo business, does not act as a travel agency, and does not accept paid placements from any expediter or photo service. See /about for the operator and the wider network.

Editorial direction is set by Oliver Wakefield-Smith. Drafts are produced via Digital Signet's autonomous AI development methodology and reviewed against the editorial framework before publication.
